Finished and Ready to Fly

Finshed and ready to fly!  After 3 years 2 months 2 weeks and 2 days (March 23 2012 - June 8 2015) and over 2000hrs of work.

The plane is finally complete.

Interior lights on and the wing walk light in the door shining down. It all looks really nice lit up.

Time for another update!

It's getting a little difficult to show what I'm currently working on since I can't really highlight the brake lines or control system parts, among other things. A section that is coming up is the flap system so that area is highlighted red. I still need to build the rear seats and work on the upper cabin. I should be ordering the finishing kit soon.

Completed Structure Overview (755.0hrs)

I wanted to make another overview post to show a little more accurately the parts I am working on. Currently, I have a lot of sections I'm working through simultaneously and will also be installing things that aren't in the plans.

For example, I'm working on: the step install, finishing the side skin vent doors, installing the heater boxes, building the upper forward fuselage, installing the luggage area floors, insulation and conduit, and the com antenna installs. So there is a lot of work coming up and I wanted to represent that in the Completed Structure Overview as best I could.

Now that the wings are complete it's time for an update to the big picture. The next step is hard to depict. I'll be working on the static lines in the tailcone and then attaching the tailcone to the fuselage, so I highlighted the area where it attaches as in work.

I completed another part so it's time for an update to the big picture. I'm leaving the Fuel Tanks as "in work" until they get tested, so those are still highlighted red. I finished the ailerons so those turned blue. And I'm starting on the flaps, so I went ahead and highlighted those as "in work".
